Equipment for the expedition
Personal weapons and equipment support combat and exploration away from the train. Steam links scavenging, hunting and crafting with preparing to face revenants and other threats. This is the carried-equipment side of the game; walls and weapon stations serve the base itself. Characters and enemies introduce the documented threats, while expeditions explains where equipment fits into exploration.
Defenses that stay with the train
Reinforced walls and crafted weapon stations are described as parts of the moving fortress. The May development update also links train defense encounters with clearing obstacles, placing base protection inside the travel loop. Read train defense for that development context. The reviewed material does not identify station models, ammunition requirements or firing arcs.
From salvage to equipment
Weapons and equipment are one use of scavenged supplies; train facilities and defenses are others. Our resources overview separates those purposes, and crafting connects them with production. This relationship is established at a system level even though a complete recipe and item list is not available.
Is there a confirmed weapon list or ranking?
This overview is not a weapon tier list: the reviewed sources do not provide a complete catalog, damage values or reload timings. It instead separates personal equipment from train defenses and maintenance. For version context, Early Access plans identify more weapons and crafted items as future development goals.
Clothing, repair and preparation
The May 13 development update introduced new clothing sets and dedicated repair workstations. Clothing broadens the equipment described by the team; repair concerns maintaining items instead of making new ones. The announcement does not give clothing bonuses or item-specific durability values. The repair section explains the confirmed facility and its limits.
